CloseBot automatically handles communication channels for you. Our bots will respond to whatever channel your leads come in from. You may want to specify the channel that the bot responds on (ex. the message came in through live chat, but you want it to reply via email). By simply adding a channel parameter to your CloseBot Webhook we can specify where our bots are responding to our leads.

CloseBot Webhook

Navigate to your Closebot Webhook that you created during setup.

Add Custom Data

Under Custom Data, click on Add item.

Specify the Channel

Here we can add the channel parameter along with the channel name we want this webhook to respond in.

Valid Channels

These are the valid channel names you can enter:

SMS - text

Live_Chat - GoHighLevel chat widget

FB - Facebook

Email - Email

IG - Instagram

WhatsApp - WhatsApp

That's it! With this setup shown, no matter what channel triggers the bot to reply, it will attempt to respond on the Live Chat channel.

When to Use

An example of when you might want to use this might be to change the conversation over to texting after you get a contact's phone number. You could update channel to be SMS after you conversationally gather the contact phone number.
